Dutch Mason Blues Festival Feature Page
Bible Hill, Nova Scotia is the backdrop for the Dutch Mason Blues Festival. Located in the center of a harness racing track, lots of great Blues music and lots of Maritimer hospitality. Gotta love it!!!
The Festival director, David DeWolfe, hit a grandslam with the 2008 edition of the Dutch Mason Blues Festival booking great Canadian acts along with some legendary American Blues acts. Dutch's son Garrett Mason who opened the event and played throughout the weekend. Legendary American Blues acts like Bonnie Raitt, James Cotton and Hubert Sumlin, Walter Trout graced Dutchy's stage. Canadian Blues greats included David Wilcox, Morgan Davis, David Gogo, Jimmy Bowskill, the Twisters and many local favourites such as Joe Murphy, Greg 'Phish' Fancy, Ainsley Jardine 'AJ', Shirley Jackson, Doris Mason, Teresa Malenfant, Charlie A'Court, Eileen Joyce and many more.
We are excited to unveil the Dutch Mason Festival Slideshows. These include pictures of the 2008 DMB Festival along with featured slideshows of Mr. James Cotton, the DMB Festival Ambassador, in the company of another living legend, Mr. Hubert Sumlin. Randy was invited up on stage by both living legends to photograph the show.
